Abstract:

With this dissertation we aim at taking a closer look at the different procedures used in cinema and literature to translate the psychical intimacy of the characters. With this goal, we will select a yet uncertain number of literary and cinematographic works. The criterion used for that selection will be their level of importance in the main aesthetic movements they belong to. At the same time, and in parallel, we will analyse the evolution of the ways of representing the psychical world of the characters through different cinematographic and narrative techniques used to that scope.
