Abstract:

This dissertation analyses the phenomenon of dramatic writing of an episodic series as a whole, from its classification to the mechanisms of its narrative structure. After defining the subject of study, television series and their main characteristics, an approach to the reference models for their implementation, especially the American one, will be carried out. We will then be able to understand the creation and transformation of the different formats, as well as the social and demographic evolution of their target audience. Our goal is to help understand the translation of the complex narrative for an adult audience in the last decades, from the cinematographic to the television discourse.
